Any illustration first printed or produced from January 2012 through January 2013 is eligible. Late Fees 滞纳金

The World Gallery of Cartoons is the one and only event of such provenance in Macedonia, the oldest in the Balkan and one of the most long-standing in the world. 2013年新西兰学生物理化学漫画大赛
2013年新西兰学生物理化学漫画大赛已经开始征稿，截至时间2013年5月31日，主题为物理和化学。

国际物理和化学部纯粹与应用化学联合会（IUPAC）很高兴地宣布学生物理化学漫画大赛于2013年举行。本场比赛的主题是的物理和化学。本次漫画大赛的目的是以清楚明了的表达方式说明物理化学知识，丰富物理和化学教学内容。

本次大奖赛将选出5名获奖者，每人将获得100美元的奖励。

参赛须知：

1、参数对象必须为2013年1月1日在读的中学生或者大学生，报名截止日期2013年5月31日。

The Physical and Biophysical Chemistry Division of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) is pleased to announce the Student Physical Chemistry Cartoon Competition for 2013.  This competition follows a chemistry cartoon competition run by the Division of Physical and Biophysical Chemistry during IYC 2011. The goal of the competition is to clearly illustrate an aspect of physical chemistry in a manner that can enrich the teaching of physical chemistry.

Awards of US$100 will go to 5 students whose cartoons are chosen as winning entries.

Entry Guidelines

•Entries (one per student) will be accepted in the period January 1 to May 31, 2013 from students enrolled at a secondary school or tertiary institution on the closing date of entries.

•The cartoon about a phenomenon, experiment, or project should explain an aspect of physical chemistry in an imaginative way and be accessible to a general audience.

•The cartoon with text in English is expected to convey the meaning intended with economy, clarity and good humour. However, only submissions pertaining to aspects of physical chemistry will be accepted.

•An entry form giving personal and teacher details will be lodged at the time of cartoon submission. The cartoon must contain original work and not contain any copyrighted material.

•Each contestant retains copyright of their original work. In submitting an entry to this contest the IUPAC Division of Physical and Biophysical Chemistry is given the authority to publish and authorize the future use of cartoon entries without further financial remuneration to the contestant beyond the contest awards.

匈牙利“冰球”主题国际漫画比赛征稿


匈牙利冰球运动联盟为促进冰球运动的发展特别举办这次国际漫画比赛，匈牙利冰球运动联盟作为I/A世界锦标赛的东道主，发起了这次国际“冰球”主题漫画比赛。

The Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation, host to Division I/A World Championship, calls for an international cartoon contest to promote ice hockey.

1.) Participants can submit up to three original cartoons in A/4 or A/3 size, using any technique. Prints of cartoons produced or coloured with software can also be submitted on condition that it has the cartoonist’s original signature and the print’s serial number.

The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the works sent to the festival, Zagreb 2013, as the advertising material without being obliged to pay a fee to an author whose work may be used.
The prize-winning works become property of the organizer.

The Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom 13th International Editorial Cartoon Competition 2013

REGULATIONS:
1.The theme for the 13th International Editorial Cartoon Competition is:
Hard times and free speech
When journalists and cartoonist face economic uncertainty or threats to their employment, there is great pressure to give up on tackling tough stories, give in to self-censorship or give attention to sensationalist journalism in the service of commercial sustainability. But can free speech survive hard times?
2. Prizes: three prizes will be given: a first prize of $1500 plus a certificate from the Canadian Commission for UNESCO,
a second prize of $750 plus a certificate,
and a third of $500 and certificate.
All sums are in Canadian dollars.
Ten additional cartoons will receive an ‘Award of Excellence.’ Regrettably no financial remuneration accompanies the Awards of Excellence. 3. Only one cartoon will be accepted from each cartoonist. It may be either in color or black and white and must not have won an award.
4. The size of the cartoon should not exceed A4; 21 by 29.2 cm; or 8.50 by 11 inches.
5. The name, address, telephone number and a short biography of the cartoonist must be included in the submission.
6. The Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom shall have the rights to use any of the cartoons entered in the Competition for promotion of our Editorial Cartoon Competition and World Press Freedom Day. Entrance by the cartoonist is deemed acceptance of this condition.
7. The winners of the Cartoon Competition will be announced at the World Press Freedom Day Luncheon held at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada on May 3, 2013 as well as being advised by e-mail. The winner’s names and their cartoons will be posted on the CCWFP web site: http://www.ccwpf-cclpm.ca/.
8. The winning cartoons will be exhibited at the luncheon.

30. AYDIN DOĞAN INTERNATIONAL CARTOON COMPETITION
• The Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition is organized every year in Turkey by the Aydın Doğan
Foundation.
• The competition is open to professional and amateur cartoonists from all over the world.
• The Jury, composed of international members, will meet in June 2013.
• The 30th Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition will be celebrated with an award ceremony in
November 2013 in Istanbul.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
1. Choice of subject is free.
2. Only original cartoons will be accepted. Cartoons sent as printouts should bear original signatures of cartoonists.
Photographs, photocopies, etc. will not be accepted.
3. Size of cartoons should not exceed 29.7 x 42cm (A3 paper size).
4. Participants are expected to send the filled out participation form, with a short curriculum vitae and a photograph,
together with their cartoons. Please fill out the form attached or download it from www.aydindoganvakfi.org.tr.
The documents should be sent to Aydın Doğan Foundation, Burhaniye Mahallesi Kısıklı Cad. No 6534676 Üsküdar

5. The Foundation will not be responsible for any damage that may occur during postage.
6. Award-winning cartoons will not be returned to their artists.
7. By filling out the participation form, the participant declares and accepts in advance that (s)he hands over the
financial rights such as processing, duplication, distribution, representation, indication and transmission to
the public via audio and/or visual means (s)he holds over the cartoons to the Aydın Doğan Foundation without
limitations on location, time period and number including assignment to third parties under Articles 21-25 of
the Law No. 5846 on Turkish Intellectual and Artistic Works for publication; (s)he also declares and accepts in
advance that the Aydın Doğan Foundation may use such cartoons to exhibit them, to keep them in its archives, to
publish them on the Internet or through other media or to use them in any other way without limitations.
8. The Foundation will cover travel and accommodation expenses of the first three award-winning cartoonists for
the award ceremony in Turkey.
9. Cartoons that have not received any awards shall be returned to their owners upon written application to the
Foundation within one year. The responsibility of the Foundation finishes after one year.
10. The deadline for entries is Tuesday, May 10, 2013.
11. Jury members cannot participate in the competition in the year they act as a jury member.
12. The decision to upload the cartoons sent to the competition on the Virtual Museum lies with the Aydın Doğan
Foundation.

• Aydın Doğan Uluslararası Karikatür Yarışması her yıl Türkiye’de Aydın Doğan Vakfı tarafından
düzenlenmektedir.
• Yarışma, tüm ülkelerin profesyonel ve amatör karikatüristlerine açıktır.
• Seçiciler Kurulu uluslararası üyelerden oluşmaktadır. Kurul, Haziran 2013’de toplanacaktır.

KATILIM KOŞULLARI
1. Yarışma serbest konuludur.

tutmak, internet ortamında ve sair şekillerde yayınlamak suretiyle ve bunlarla sınırlı olmaksızın dilediği her
şekilde kullanmasına muvafakatinin olduğunu peşinen beyan ve kabul etmektedir.
8. İlk üç dereceye girenlerin, ödül törenine gelmeleri için gereken yol ve konaklama giderleri Vakıf tarafından
karşılanacaktır.
9. Ödül alamayan karikatürler, sahiplerinin 1 yıl içerisinde Vakfa yazılı olarak başvurmaları halinde iade
edilecektir. Bu süre geçtikten sonra Vakfın yükümlülüğü sona erer.
10. Yarışmaya son katılma tarihi 10 Mayıs 2013 Cuma günüdür.
11. Jüri üyeleri, üyelik yaptıkları yıl yarışmaya katılamazlar.

for 2013



Award Grants:
The following provisions govern the granting of
THE UNITED NATIONS/RANAN LURIE
POLITICAL CARTOON AWARDS
The prizes are to be announced in October 2013, at the Annual Awards Dinner and at the United Nations, New York. Thirteen (13) prizes will be announced in the presence of the Secretary General of the United Nations, The Honorable Ban Ki-moon.
•        First prize, of $10,000.00 and a plaque, will be presented by Dr. Elie Wiesel, Nobel Laureate, Chairman Emeritus of the Judging Committee.
•        Second prize, of $5,000.00 and a plaque, will be presented by Giampaolo Pioli, President of the United Nations Correspondents Association.
•        Third prize, of $3,000.00 and a plaque, will be presented by Giampaolo Pioli, President of the United Nations Correspondents Association.
•        Ten (10) honorable mentions, in the form of plaques, will be declared by Giampaolo Pioli, President of UNCA.
All entries will be announced via the worldwide press. All winners' prizes, either financial and/or plaques, will be sent via U.S. registered mail on November 15, 2013.
Rules for Exhibits:
1.
Entries must be submitted in writing and addressed to
THE UNITED NATIONS/RANAN LURIE
POLITICAL CARTOON AWARDS,
25 Columbus Circle, Suite 63E, New York, NY, 10019 (no phone or fax calls, please). Entries for awards must be received on or before September 15, 2013, and represent work done from the beginning of September 2012, to the 15th of September 2013, reflecting the importance of human dignity, mutual respect and friendship among nations, as well as economic consideration and environmental responsibilities towards each other. While cartoonists may send in what ever they please, the contest does not encourage maligning member nations or their leaders.
Winning cartoons will be chosen for their high professional standards in art, political analysis of events, projection of events to come, humor, while emphasizing the spirit and principles of the U.N.


2.        Entries for these awards may be made by any professional individual, and should consist of political cartoons printed in any publication published anywhere, in any language. The entry must consist of reproductions only. The cartoon reproductions will be accepted only as published, with name of publication, language, and date included, accompanied by a newspaper reprint, and translated into English. Exhibits are limited to two cartoons per person. Reproductions must be presented measuring no larger than 8 1/2 x 11 inches. Envelopes larger than 9 x 13 inches will not be opened.
THE COMMITTEE
requires that every entry conform to the stated limits and size before it can be given any jury consideration. All exhibits should include no more than a 75 word biography, a picture of the entrant, and be in English or translated into English.


3.        All materials including prize-winning exhibits become the property of  
THE UNITED NATIONS/RANAN LURIE
POLITICAL CARTOON AWARDS COMMITTEE
and will not be returned. Again: Only copies (not originals!) will be accepted for consideration. All material may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to inclusion in special United Nations albums or other albums and exhibits.

II. Contest participation
1. Contest requirements in CARTOON nomination
1.1. The cartoons must be original; the copyright belongs to the participant. Photocopies, printouts and works sent by e-mail will not be evaluated. The works that have won awards earlier have to contain information where and when they were awarded. The jury reserves the right to include or not include it into the list of prize-winning works.
1.2. Techniques: painting, graphics, printed graphics (etchings, lithography, xylograph and linocut), collage.
1.3. The sizes of works - À4 (210õ297) to À2 (420õ590).
2. Contest requirements in POSTER nomination
2.1. Both individuals and teams of artists can participate in the contest.
2.2. The posters submitted to the contest must be made specifically on the theme “The Beauty Will Save the World”. The works should not exceed 60õ84cm (horizontal and vertical) at 300dpi, ÑMYK or RGB, and saved in formats: TIF, PDF, EPS or JPG, all the images should be flattened. The author should record his work onto a CD in high resolution; all the files and CDs should be signed. The CD accompanied by the Participant Form (see clause 3.3) is to be sent to the contest address. The works selected for the exhibition will be printed by the organizers.
2.3. The newly created posters should include:

2.4. We also accept posters made by the author in the last 7 years and conforming, in the author’s opinion, to the theme «The Beauty Will Save the World».

2.6. Further texts or mottos can be added by the author’s choice.
3. General conditions
3.1. Any number of works will be accepted from each cartoonist.
3.2. The works are posted at the participant’s expense. The works should be carefully packed. The organizers are not responsible for any damage during transportation.
3.3. The works should be accompanied by the Participant Form where name, surname, author’s addresses, title of work and year when it was made, telephone, fax and e-mail must be stated. The Participant Form is to be filled out in block letters. The works without the Participant Form are not accepted.
3.4. At the back of each cartoon name, surname, title of work and year when it was made, material and technique should be stated.
3.5. The Organizers guarantee that the authors’ personal data will be processed in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation (Federal Law ¹ 152-FL “About Personal Data” dated July 27, 2006)
3.6. The copyright to the image and texts of a work belong to the participant, it is inalienable. The author bears responsibility for his works as provided by the existing legislation of RF. The author reserves the prerogative right to the original work of art at alienation (transfer into the ownership, donation) if the author doesn’t transfer the right by the Deed of Gift. (article 1291of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).
3.7. The works sent to the Forum will not be returned and will become part of Surgut Fine Arts Museum collection. The Museum will be grateful for your donation and asks the authors by expression of will to fill out the Deed of Gift (the form of Deed of Gift is attached) to donate your works into the Museum collection and send your Deed of Gift with the works and the Form.
3.8. The works sent to the competition may be exhibited in Surgut Fine Arts Museum, other museums, galleries and exhibition halls at the discretion of the Organizers. The works can also be displayed on the Museum website.
3.9. The Organizers reserve the right to publish the works in Media, including electronic media; or duplicate the works in the Forum advertising materials with no royalties to the author but the author’s name, surname and nationality will appear on each work.
4. Special conditions
4.1. The Organizers will cover travel costs to the Award ceremony from any (one) city of Russia and a return ticket and accommodation in Surgut hotel for all prize-winners and jury members. All travel and living costs in transit cities are at the participants’ expense.
4.2. The main money prizes can be divided by the jury decision.
4.3. The Organizers and sponsors of the Forum reserve the right to establish Special prizes upon receiving contest works.
4.4. The catalogue will be published after the contest. All authors, whose works will be included into the catalogue by the jury decision, will receive a free copy of the catalogue.

2.4. We also accept posters made by the author in the last 7 years and conforming, in the author’s opinion, to the theme «The Beauty Will Save the World».

2.5. The works that have won awards earlier have to contain information where and when they were awarded. The jury reserves the right to include or not include it into the list of prize-winning works.

2.6. Further texts or mottos can be added by the author’s choice.

3. General conditions

3.1. Any number of works will be accepted from each cartoonist.

3.2. The works are posted at the participant’s expense. The works should be carefully packed. The organizers are not responsible for any damage during transportation.

3.3. The works should be accompanied by the Participant Form where name, surname, author’s addresses, title of work and year when it was made, telephone, fax and e-mail must be stated. The Participant Form is to be filled out in block letters. The works without the Participant Form are not accepted.

3.4. At the back of each cartoon name, surname, title of work and year when it was made, material and technique should be stated.

3.5. The Organizers guarantee that the authors’ personal data will be processed in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation (Federal Law ¹ 152-FL “About Personal Data” dated July 27, 2006)

3.6. The copyright to the image and texts of a work belong to the participant, it is inalienable. The author bears responsibility for his works as provided by the existing legislation of RF. The author reserves the prerogative right to the original work of art at alienation (transfer into the ownership, donation) if the author doesn’t transfer the right by the Deed of Gift. (article 1291of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).

3.7. The works sent to the Forum will not be returned and will become part of Surgut Fine Arts Museum collection. The Museum will be grateful for your donation and asks the authors by expression of will to fill out the Deed of Gift (the form of Deed of Gift is attached) to donate your works into the Museum collection and send your Deed of Gift with the works and the Form.

3.8. The works sent to the competition may be exhibited in Surgut Fine Arts Museum, other museums, galleries and exhibition halls at the discretion of the Organizers. The works can also be displayed on the Museum website.

3.9. The Organizers reserve the right to publish the works in Media, including electronic media; or duplicate the works in the Forum advertising materials with no royalties to the author but the author’s name, surname and nationality will appear on each work.

4. Special conditions

4.1. The Organizers will cover travel costs to the Award ceremony from any (one) city of Russia and a return ticket and accommodation in Surgut hotel for all prize-winners and jury members. All travel and living costs in transit cities are at the participants’ expense.

4.2. The main money prizes can be divided by the jury decision.

4.3. The Organizers and sponsors of the Forum reserve the right to establish Special prizes upon receiving contest works.

4.4. The catalogue will be published after the contest. All authors, whose works will be included into the catalogue by the jury decision, will receive a free copy of the catalogue.
